Position Finance Director
Business situation before the mission The company didn’t have Finance Director, it was owned by financial investor who wanted to improve the profitability of the companies in the group.
The previous Finance Director had left the company.
It was necessary to take over the role of CFO as soon as possible and  start providing financial management of the company. No proper takeover of the position from the previous Finance Director  was possible,  therefore a short analysis of the existing processes was required for a successful takeover of the position.
The company didn’t have sufficient reporting for the funding bank in place.
The company didn’t have adequate financial forecasting in place.
The insurance contracts were not up to date – either in terms of subject of the insurance or the policy values.
There was a sense of uncertainty in the company´s finance department due to possible sale of the company to a new owner. The company faced a significant risk of key employees leaving.
Business situation after the mission was completed Financial Director’s position was  taken over successfully.
Reporting to the funding bank was put in place.
Financial forecasting based on the individual projects was established.
The company changed the insurance broker and an insurance risk analysis was prepared. All existing insurance contracts were reviewed, amended or terminated in order for them to be compliant with existing risks.
The company´s finance department has been stabilised in terms of personnel.
Contribution to the result I was able to take over the role of  Finance Director in a short time and I successfully managed all the departments I was responsible for.
I managed the preparation of the financial report format for the bank including preparation of regular monthly reports.
I managed the preparation of the financial forecasting format including the preparation of regular monthly reports.
I, in collaboration with the insurance broker, managed the process of analyzing existing insurance policies, including changes to them, to minimize relevant risk to the company.
I stabilized personnel situation in the departments that reported to me.
